Proof of Authority (PoA)

Proof of Authority (PoA) is a cryptographic proof mechanism for securing blockchains, gaiting the right to add blocks, and preventing Sybil attacks, and is a Proof of Stake (PoS) variant. Under PoA, Block Producers have equal votes (as opposed to in proportion to stake) and validate honestly to maintain reputation (as opposed to protecting against slashing).
