Vote Delegation

Vote delegation involves nominating other actors to vote on an actor's behalf. This is done without the transfer of assets, though it typically requires that the asset be locked up for the delegation period. This applies to and is commonly seen in project's token governance processes and the proof mechanisms for Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and similar Proof of Stake variants.
