Liquidity Provider

A liquidity provider is a type of actor who provides capital or liquidity to a system, typically in return for yield through token issuance and/or a share of system revenue. Liquidity provision is most applicable to DeFi projects that facilitate financial services, which require deep liquidity to provide cost-efficient and practical markets. Liquidity providers offer a service akin to that of a market maker in traditional financial markets.
