Interoperable
Interoperability, in the context of blockchain-based systems, refers to a system's ability to interact with other systems, including but not limited to other blockchain-based systems. Interoperability can be facilitated by functions native to a blockchain or other systems that offer interoperability-as-a-service. Blockchain interoperability is typically provided by a cross-chain messaging protocol, allowing the blockchain(s) to read and write data from and to other blockchains.
