Cold Storage

Cold storage refers to any custody method whereby the private keys are not connected to the internet to reduce the risk of theft by hacking.

In cold storage, cryptoassets keys are kept entirely offline to minimize security risks to owners. Examples of cold storage include paper wallets and offline hardware wallets.
