Wrapping / Wrapped Assets

A wrapped asset is a tokenized version of another cryptoasset. Assets are generally wrapped for technical compatibility, allowing assets to flow beyond native environments. For example, wBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin) is an ERC-20 tokenized version of Bitcoin compatible with Ethereum smart contracts.
