Total Value Locked (TVL)

Total value locked (TVL) refers to the aggregate market value of cryptoassets stored in a given protocol's smart contract or set of smart contracts.

Total value locked can be used to measure the growth of an account over time, such as a DAO treasury or an investment fund.

Total value locked also contributes to an entity's assets under management (AUM).
