Dandelion Routing

Dandelion is a privacy-enabling transaction routing mechanism proposed initially to the Bitcoin network as part of BIP-0156, a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal, to help with deanonymization attacks.

Transactions are sent through a randomly selected path constructed from a privacy graph before being diffused to the network. This approach increases the difficulty of a DDoS attack against a node.
