Atomic Swap
Atomic swaps are a form of interoperability technology that enables swapping two cryptoassets in a permissionless on-chain environment, such that the swap occurs entirely or not at all. Atomic swaps receive their name from their atomicity property, whereby an exchange must complete in full or not at all, avoiding partial and incomplete transactions. The technology allows swaps across different blockchains and does not rely on any central intermediary or party.
