October 6, 2020 UK regulators ban sale of cryptoasset derivative to retail investors.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK’s primary financial regulator, released its final rules regarding cryptoasset derivatives this week. The rules state that any derivate products or exchange-trade notes related to cryptoassets of any form are not to be sold, marketed or distributed to retail investors. The rules will take effect on January 6th, 2021.
