The Human Rights Foundation has launched a funding initiative for Bitcoin developers, announcing the news on Wednesday. The fund will focus its efforts on developers who are focusing on increasing the privacy, decentralization, and resilience of the Bitcoin network in the hope that such development will create better financial tools for journalists and human rights activists. Funding will be available for developers working at both the network level as well as auxiliary protocols and services that enhance Bitcoin’s privacy. According to its press release. the organization has already funded a developer, Chris Belcher, for his work on CoinSwap, a privacy and fungibility protocol.
