In a notice today, Telegram said that its TON Wallet, in which users can store TON’s native GRAM tokens, will operate as a stand-alone service. The move is intended to allow for competition by “other wallet applications designed and offered by third parties.” However, the company said integration with Telegram Messenger may occur in the future. The announcement comes during an ongoing dispute between Telegram and the SEC over the company’s 2017 token sale.
