October 22, 2019 Ripple opens offices in DC, aims to promote dialogue with regulators.

Michelle Bond will lead the office as Ripple’s Global Head of Government Relations. Several additions to the regulatory team have government backgrounds: Susan Friedman counseled the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission as a senior advisor, and Ron Hammond worked on the Token Taxonomy Act. Additionally, Ripple announced that Craig Phillips, a former counselor to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, will be joining the project’s board of directors to advise on regulatory matters.
