August 17, 2019 New evidence suggests Craig Wright, who controversially claims he is Satoshi Nakamoto, forged documents related to a lawsuit over contested BTC holdings.

Specifically, Wright is being accused of backdating or fabricating several contracts, emails and ‘Bitmessages’ in an effort to prove contested assets were under his control. Testimony from Bitmessage creator, Jonathan Warren, reveals it was possible that Wright was able to “trick the software” into displaying an incorrect date. Wright is being sued by the brother of his former business partner, Dave Kleiman, for allegedly defrauding the estate of over $5B worth of BTC. A judge is set to make a decision regarding the potentially fake documents on August 26th.
