June 22, 2020 Ethereum’s block gas limit increases from 10,000,000 to 12,500,000.

Ethereum’s block gas limit increased from 10,000,000 to 12,500,000 on Friday. The network’s miners collectively decided to increase the limit, which bounds the amount of gas that can be consumed per block, meaning that a higher volume of transactions can now be processed. The latest increase follows a rise from 8,000,000 to 10,000,000 gas per block in September 2019.
