June 24, 2020 DHS issues renewed call for blockchain-based, anti-counterfeiting projects.

The Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP), a subsidiary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a renewed call for blockchain startups to address some of the agency’s ongoing problems concerning the forgery and counterfeiting of certificates and licenses. The SVIP made the call at an Industry Day on Tuesday and is offering $200,000-$800,000 in funding to each project disbursed across a 24 month period.
