The dApp login provider, UniLogin, that allows users to log into Ethereum applications, has announced that it is shutting down operations due to persistently high gas costs on the smart contract network. In a blog post, the company’s founder, Alex Van de Sande explained that due to the popularity of DeFi and the resulting high fees, the company could no longer afford to onboard new users, stating that costs per user had been as high as $130.
